Kindred Roots is an exciting addition to the blog for me, something that is close to my heart.

This is an opportunity for our world of parenting to unite.

Kindred, meaning ones family and relatives, or similar kind.

Roots, the part of a plant which attaches it to the ground or to a support, typically underground, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant via numerous branches and fibres.
I like to compare my parenting to roots. We are what attaches our children to the ground, we are the beginning for them. Typically a lot of what we do for them is unnoticed by them, or anyone else. We nourish our children, in many ways. With love, physical sustenance, and support.

Kindred Roots. A place for us to come together, with similar issues, problems and feelings. To share the load. To find support and reassurance.

Motherhood (and Fatherhood for that matter) isn’t always pretty. It can get ugly. It can get messy. What gets us through, is quite often just knowing that we’re not alone.

This is a chance to share the raw, honest, beautiful, and sometimes awful parts of this journey.

I would love for this part of the blog to be mainly guest bloggers, but you will find blog entries written by me.
